ล่องเรือชมปลาโลมา
ที่บ้านปลาโลมารีสอร์ท เรามีกิจกรรมนำท่านชมปลาโลมา ที่มาเยือนทุกช่วงลมหนาวให้ท่านตื่นตาตื่นใจกับฝูงปลาโลมาธรรมชาติ พร้อมกับสาระความรู้เกี่ยวกับโลมาสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมที่น่ารักตำนานเกี่ยวกับโลมาตำนานกรีก เล่าว่า เทพแห่งไวน์ของกรีก ชื่อ ไดโอนีซอส (Dionysos) แปลงลงมาเป็นมนุษย์ และได้โดยสารเรือข้ามจากเกาะอิคาเรีย (Ikaria) ไปยังเกาะนาซอสในทะเลเมดิเตอร์เรเนียน ไดโอนีซอสนั้น แม้จะเป็นเทพ ทว่าไม่มีญาณหยั่งรู้ว่าเรือลำที่ตนโดยสารไปนั้นเป็นเรือโจร ลูกเรือจะปล้นผู้โดยสารทุกคนถ้วนหน้า เมื่อถึงคราวของไดโอนีซอส เขาจึงถูกลูกเรือปล้น และคิดจะจับเขาไปขายเป็นทาส

ที่จริงแล้ว โลมาเคยเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมที่อยู่บนบกเหมือนมนุษย์ แต่เพื่อความพยายามหาอาหาร เลี้ยงปากเลี้ยงท้อง และหนีศัตรู โลมาจึงค่อยๆปรับตัวให้ลงไปอยู่ในน้ำ เพื่อความอยู่รอดแทน นั่นเป็นตำนานของคนโบราณ แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้ว โลมาเป็นสัตว์เลือดอุ่นอาศัยอยู่ในน้ำ คลอดลูก เป็นตัว แถมยังเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมเหมือนมนุษย์ และยังเป็นสัตว์น้ำที่น่ารักเสียด้วย
รูปร่างของโลมาโลมา อาศัยอยู่กระจัดกระจายทั่วไปในมหาสมุทรนับร้อยชนิด แต่ในประเทศไทยที่เรารู้จักกันดีมีอยู่ ๒ ชนิด คือ โลมาปากขวด กับ โลมาหัวบาตร บางครั้งยังพบโลมาอยู่ในแม่น้ำอีกด้วย เช่น ในแม่น้ำคงคาที่ประเทศอินเดีย และในแม่น้ำโขง เป็นโลมาหัวบาตรน้ำจืดโลมา มีอวัยวะต่างๆทุกๆ ส่วนเหมือนกับสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมทั่วไป หากแต่ละส่วนของอวัยวะ จะปรับเปลี่ยนต่างไปจากสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมทั่วไป ดังนี้ จมูก โลมามีจมูกไว้หายใจ แต่จมูกนั้นต่างไปจากจมูกของสัตว์ อื่นๆ เพราะตั้งอยู่กลางกระหม่อมเลยทีเดียว เพื่อให้สะดวกต่อการเชิดหัวขึ้นหายใจเหนือน้ำ จากจมูกมีท่อหายใจต่อลงมาถึงปอดในตัว จึงไม่จำเป็นต้องให้น้ำผ่านเหงือกเข้าไปในปอดเพื่อช่วยหายใจเหมือนปลาทั่วไป หู หูของโลมานั้นเป็นเพียงแค่รูเล็กจิ๋วติดอยูด้านข้างของหัวเท่านั้น แต่หูของโลมามีประสิทธิภาพสูงมาก รับคลื่นเสียงใต้น้ำได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม โดยเฉพาะกับภาษาที่โลมาสื่อสารกันด้วยเสียงที่มีคลื่นความถี่สูง |
